OUR "OBEDIENCES"
Obediences is a term used by our monastic brothers and sisters and is the work done within and for the community. The work for you, the first SBLC members, is focused upon the structure and eventual acceptance of the SBLC as a Private Association Of Christ's Faithful.
The Reverend Father in our discussions with him emphasized that SBLC members live in the spirit of Carthusian Lay Conteplatives, in order to draw from experience what would be accepted as the statutes which are an obligation of every Association of Christ's Faithful under canon law.
Every SBLC member must then understand the SBLC is in an experimental stage, and the growth and development rests upon those who have been called to this work.
